The biological, social and environmental factors behind depression are complex. There are many theories about what causes depression but the most important thing to remember is: you CAN live a completely normal life.  And YES, it is worth it!

I commonly find that negative self-talk plagues the "depressed" brain and prevents those from finding joy at every corner. Cognitive behavioral approaches is evidenced to work best when reframing, or challenging, thought patterns and distortions. 

​

Sometimes our day-to-day life is chronically overwhelming and we can't seem to find the desire to make it through the next day. It's in those times, that scream to me, "CHANGE UP YOUR ROUTINE!"
